I rely on Bitdefender for all my computers. On my media PC, it consumes around 43% of my memory, and sometimes more than 50%. Anyone know the reason behind this?

I don't have a memory of past interactions, so I don't retain information between sessions. How can I assist you now?

Sure, I was planning to request additional RAM instead.

I overlooked that you had 64GB of Corsair RAM operating at 2666MHz.

It appears the issue might be linked to a recent reinstall of BitDefender or another software conflict, leading to high memory consumption across your devices. The system is currently using around 500MB.

These memory spikes occur consistently throughout the process, not just randomly.

Absolutely, if 64 GB isn't sufficient, my 16 GB might be considered waste.

I had the same idea too. It gave me a good reason to switch from 16GB to 32GB, hehe!

It's a bit on the lower end lately, but the OP might share his RAM details in the first message so we can see if Bitdefender uses 4GB or 32GB.
