I recently assembled a fresh system, merely repurposing the PSU, GPU, and HDD from my previous setup. This problem appeared in the older build too. I'm pretty sure it's tied to the PSU now, but I wanted to confirm it sounded like something plausible for someone more experienced—just in case it was a coincidence across both configurations. Here’s what my current configuration looks like: Motherboard: TUF Gaming B650-plus Wi-Fi CPU: Ryzen 7700x RAM: 32 GB 6000 G.Skill Trident Z5 PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 750W 80+ Platinum (reused from the old build) GPU: EVGA RTX 2080 (reused from the old build) So this glitch varies: sometimes it posts instantly, other times it takes 10-15 seconds, and occasionally it won’t post at all, forcing me to restart until it works. When it does, I see the DRAM Q-LED, then the motherboard light, followed by the CPU Q-LED. It sometimes stays on these lights for a few seconds before cycling through VGA and Boot LEDs and finally posting. I haven’t seen it hang on either of those indicators. The last time it seemed likely to fail was when I swapped out the old HDD, removed the GPU, and connected the monitor to the motherboard—still no improvement. I’ve double-checked all PSU cables, but changing connections didn’t help. This seems to point toward the PSU as the culprit, or maybe something else entirely. It’s left me wondering if it’s just a bad luck streak or a real issue.
EDIT: I should also mention that this problem existed in both builds before and after enabling DOCP. I also tried booting with only one RAM stick each time, but it didn’t help. Lastly, I updated the BIOS, yet the issue persisted. Edited February 16, 2023 by Korvas
