Hello everyone, I'm using a Ryzen 2700X on an Asus Strix X470 motherboard. I have 16GB of XPG RAM at 3200MHz (16-20-20) and plan to add another 16GB for dual-channel. My question is, should I run the Ryzen Calculator and Typhon tool? Or is it a waste of time with Ryzen? Thanks!
I believe the dual channel setup will work well. However, I feel your RAM doesn’t provide enough room to noticeably boost performance through overclocking. Still, I’m confident I can push it.
Thanks, I saw my RAM is just basic, even though it cost a lot locally. I also believe the dual channel setup will make a difference.
Ryzen 5 2600 paired with Vengeance 3000Mhz delivers a CL16 to CL14 boost, showing minimal everyday impact yet noticeable gains in benchmarks. Performance jumps are more evident in CPU-heavy games like Cities: Skylines, though not as strong in titles like Apex Legends. Overall, it’s a solid upgrade that adds fun during testing.
