It activates for one second before turning off.
Your computer restarts immediately after a brief power cycle. A video shows this behavior. Removing the GPU causes startup, but failing to connect the 8-pin and 6-pin connections still allows it to turn on. File attached: VID_20241230_123745.mp4.mp4.
well... https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Graphics-Car...v-10/sp#sp Lookie here under recommended PSU... 600 Watts... for the card.
I checked with buildapc about using a 550w PSU for the GPU. They said it should work fine because you mentioned your PSU model. I don’t want to spend extra money if the issue is actually with the GPU. Also, my system was turning on before, but now it won’t power at all.
You'll have to verify the GPU on another device... A colleague's system that had sufficient power... I received a 3090 Ti from someone who considered it affordable... his machine started up, but after running Haven Benchmark it shut down. I mentioned he required at least a 1000W PSU, and he purchased one... same outcome. When I inquired about the details, he dismissed me, saying he bought a low-quality unit... he eventually agreed to test it on his machine. We exchanged his 3090 for a 3070, which had an 850W PSU and still worked fine. His 3070 also functioned in his original setup. Eventually, I learned that PSUs can degrade over time... I've seen this happen with workstations... they would power on briefly before cutting out. After replacing the PSUs with identical wattage units, everything operated smoothly. As mentioned earlier, around 550 Watts is pushing the limits and could be close to the breaking point...
I’m not sure if anyone nearby has a high-performance PC with a strong PSU. Most of my friends don’t even own a computer, let alone a laptop. My cousin has a 750W PSU, but he lives a bit away from me. I’m planning to check that first—either the PSU or the GPU might be the issue. Since I don’t have more money left, I ran some benchmarks earlier with FurMark. The quick 1080p test worked, but the longer one took about five minutes and now it won’t power on.
