Hello everyone. I just replaced my old CPU with a new AMD Ryzen 5 5600x and installed a new cooler (Deepcool AK620 WH). After the swap, my PC doesn’t boot properly. It powers on for about 10-15 seconds, then shuts off briefly and restarts for another 10-15 seconds. This cycle repeats, and I’m struggling to identify the cause. I’ve tried updating the CMOS and moving the RAM sticks, but nothing has resolved the issue. I think there might be an overheating problem with the CPU, even though the cooler is working and running. It’s possible the motherboard isn’t properly connecting the cooler, leading to shutdowns before the CPU overheats. I’m not sure what’s going on, but any advice would be appreciated.
Based on my observations, it might resemble a short circuit in the front I/O header where the power cable is connected incorrectly. It’s unclear how a CPU could overheat so rapidly. Another possibility is verifying your BIOS settings—your motherboard may not support the 5th generation Ryzen without an update, and you might need your old CPU socket adapter to enable that.
It seems like you're confirming a likely problem. Thanks a lot.
