Issues with your wireless mouse - Keychron M5 8K, 2.4G wireless mode
Hello, thanks for opening this forum! I’ll keep it concise but make sure everything is clear so others can assist with my problem. I recently purchased and received the Keychron M5 8K. I’m looking for a mouse that supports ergonomic vertical positioning, works well for non-gaming and office tasks, and offers a high polling rate. I’m used to the 8K speed and prefer it for smoother performance.
Previously, I owned a Logitech vertical mouse which experienced occasional connection problems over 2.4G wireless. After firmware updates, those issues disappeared. Still, I’d like a higher polling rate for better responsiveness.
Currently, I’m facing connection difficulties with the Keychron M5 8K, causing noticeable lag and making it unusable. I have Windows 11 installed, but switching would be difficult for various reasons.
I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps:
1. Changed from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 – USB 3.0 seems more stable.
2. Disabled power-saving settings in Device Manager for USB and HID devices – no improvement.
3. Updated firmware for both the Keychron receiver and mouse – still no fix.
4. Rebooted PC, restarted mouse – nothing changed.
5. Switched to a different horizontal mouse (Pulsar X2F) – it works fine wirelessly.
I’m not sure what I did to resolve this yet. Have you encountered similar issues? Any advice or steps you could suggest would be greatly appreciated. If you’re familiar with this model, let me know what you did before the problems started.
Thank you for reading! I hope someone can help me fix this.
