Issues with Yoga Pro 7 14ARP8 performance and temperature control.
It was tested with both boosts on and off. The frame rate was almost identical, around 3 to 4 fps differences. Frame times were similar at about 5 frames per second. Timings varied by around 5 frames. At 60Hz, performance was noticeably worse than expected. FPS ranged from 72 to 90 with spikes up to 110 and drops down to 40-45. Rendering in 1080p produced results I’m unsure about. I expected a 3050 device would handle it better, but since it’s a mobile platform, I’m not completely confident. Yeah, I checked out some videos about other 3050 laptops. It seems they run smoothly. Sad, but at least it works. I’m used to my RX 6600 in my own setup, so I’m a bit biased, hehe.
Acknowledged. You're not alone in facing these challenges. Various games present different problems. Try reducing settings until you find what works best.
