Hello, I understand this might be the first time someone asks about it. I searched but English isn't my primary language, and I wasn't sure of the right words. I recently purchased a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) with 3600Mhz DDR4. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 3800XT, which doesn’t support the 3600MHz XMP profile and only allows up to 3200MHz. Initially, I let the BIOS auto-set it when XMP was enabled, but it reached 3600MHz. Sometimes the system would crash or the start menu would keep clicking. Later, I manually set it to 3200MHz, which reduced crashes but caused blue screens during boot. Now I’m setting it to 3000MHz, which is within the CPU’s capabilities. The issue is now frequent crashes across all software, especially Chrome, which sometimes freezes in under a minute. Disabling XMP helped, but it’s using more CPU power than expected for basic tasks. Anyone have advice on how to resolve this? I’ve attached my full computer specs. Thanks!
He mentioned those details earlier. The 3800XT allows RAM overclocking and its memory controller performs well. A 3600MT/s RAM setup equals around 1800MHz FCLK, which most 3800XTs can reach. While the chip officially supports 3200MHz JEDEC, XMP is an overclock that would exceed CPU limits. Regarding your concern, Corsair Vengeance LPX kits sometimes work poorly with AMD boards because their timings favor Intel. The best solution is to skip XMP and set all parameters manually: memory frequency at 3600MHz, tCL at 18, tRCD at 22, tRP at 22, tRAS at 42, tRC at 64, and leave the rest auto. Adjust DRAM voltage to 1.35V and SOC voltage to 1.15V. This should resolve compatibility issues. Changing the RAM voltage and voltage settings can help avoid bugs. Running a memory stress test such as Memtest86 for a few hours ensures stability before giving up. As for performance, the stock FCLK of 1066MHz reduces multi-core efficiency, so even simple tasks may consume more CPU resources.

Thanks for the update. I just wanted to express my gratitude. Things seem stable now! Really appreciate it—i was planning to return it thinking there might be an issue. The only concern is occasional failures to post initially; a hard reset fixes it, but it could be another problem entirely.
Activate gear down mode within the advanced memory configurations. My Vengeance LPX 3600 system wouldn't operate smoothly in T1 or T2 settings. It has performed reliably since then.
