Hello, I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 about two months ago. Recently, it has become quite slow, games are lagging, FPS drops, mouse is lagging, but there’s almost no issue otherwise. The system feels fine overall. I’m wondering if I got the wrong version and downloaded it from the website instead of getting it properly? Could someone please assist me?

Are you sure the Windows 10 version came from a reputable source or the free upgrade package offered by Microsoft? What is the age of your computer? Have you attempted a pre-boot antivirus check in case it’s an older or refurbished unit? If you’re using hardware with non-standard drivers, were those set up correctly? A few simple checks are important before tackling the problem.

It seems you're unsure about the authenticity of the file. Please share the source where you obtained it or message me directly. I believe there could be an issue with the content.

I purchased a fresh CPU, graphics card, and motherboard—specifically an i7 4790K gaming model with 6GB Z97A graphics. I’ve installed Norton, ensuring the drivers are current, and I started using Windows from scratch by searching for the latest version online.
