Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6 is running Windows 11 Home.
The laptop has performed well until recently, with no hardware or router modifications during the issue period. Problems began as minor interruptions and gradually intensified. The wireless router is a TP-Link Deco BE63 3 node system.
Initially, losing internet after inactivity would trigger a reboot, but turning the wireless off/on didn't resolve it. Over time, the "no internet" condition became permanent.
I connected a TP-link USB adapter (available for another PC) and it functioned properly, leading me to suspect the internal adapter module might be faulty.
Any advice before attempting a new internal adapter?
TIA

leading me to think the physical adapter module may be bad.
Have you checked to see if your laptop is pending BIOS updates? I'd also look into seeing if uninstalling and reinstalling your WiFi adapter's drivers helps. Installing drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
As for your router, would be a good idea to see if the device is pending a firmware update.

No router updates are pending.
Attempted to remove adapter drivers via device manager, indicating they are up to date.
Consider checking BIOS updates, though the issue persists despite stable performance over the years.
Questions remain.

Already tried deleting the adapter drivers (device manager) and says I have the latest version. After removing the driver, you install the newest one yourself instead of letting the OS search for them or refreshing Device Manager. I’ll check for BIOS updates but honestly, why would it stop working after functioning perfectly for years? Probably an update made the device partially functional again. If your laptop is past its warranty, it’s likely the device has given up.
