I just received my first USB-C storage device, but it seems to be having issues. The case is a Corsair 1000D, and when I connect it to the case, nothing happens. Windows showed an error once, but that's not happening anymore. There are two ports and cables on the case, yet only one port appears on the board. I'm guessing I don't need both cables for just one port to function, but I wanted to mention this. The board is an ASUS X670e Hero. When I plug it into the board, nothing occurs either—no detection, no errors, and it's not visible in File Explorer or Disk Management. I searched for drivers, but none came up. I saw a Thunderbolt driver listed, though I doubt it's necessary, and tried it anyway. I noticed a picture on the ASUS website stating that a PCIE power cable is required. That seems odd for USB ports, especially since I'm expecting charging capability. I think I'll post this to see what others have experienced.
