A new PC experiences unusual behavior, remaining on the screen but stuck in a frozen state after prolonged gaming sessions. It will restart itself after roughly 30 seconds of being frozen. Occasionally it fails to boot and attempts to start up 2 to 3 times before finally succeeding. Once it resumes, crashes occur again within about 5 minutes, then after another reboot it takes around 2 minutes. Leaving the system idle for a while helps prevent further issues. My initial suspicion was overheating, but monitoring data didn’t indicate any temperature rise. The GPU-Z sensor logs showed significant temperature drops during the first crash, followed by another at 4:25 and a final one near the end. I also checked event viewer screenshots, including crash.evtx and reliability monitor images. Clearing nordvpn and nvcontainer resolved the problem this time, but other crashes persisted. Stress tests using OCCT revealed that RAM, 3D graphics card, and power supply tests each triggered a crash independently. This situation is quite puzzling—anyone have insights?

You might also consider installing MSI Afterburner or HWInfo to monitor your graphics card temperatures during gameplay. This could help identify if the card isn't receiving adequate cooling.

I noticed no temperature readings seem incorrect, but here are some GPU logs from when the game started until the crash occurred.

During the stress tests, I began to think the issue could be related to the RAM. I tested individual RAM sticks and found them to function properly, except for slot A2, which had difficulty even starting. I plan to try various combinations and share further results.
