You might want to check both software and hardware aspects. Look for updates for your PS5 firmware and drivers, ensure the cables are secure, and verify that your router supports the latest protocols. If the issue persists, consider testing with a different cable or network to rule out hardware faults.

If that doesn't work, consider changing the port on the router. Another option is to use a budget-friendly gigabit switch between the router and the PS5, possibly due to compatibility issues with the switch chip. However, a faulty cable is often the main cause of these problems. I haven't experienced any LAN issues with the PS5, but it's connected to a relatively expensive switch.

I haven’t attempted swapping the cable yet, though I could try. It may simply be a faulty cable since I purchased it from Amazon and the seller didn’t seem trustworthy.

I'll test another port. If it fails, I'll consider purchasing a network switch and checking if that resolves the issue, or I'll go ahead and buy a new cable.

Obtain a fresh cable prior to adjusting a switch, since it’s likely the issue lies there and a switch might hide the problem but cause reduced speeds or data drops.

It seems you're facing an issue with your router not working properly after changing the port. You might need to purchase a new cable.
