The Ethernet cable connecting the modem to my router is fairly long, similar to its run from the living room to my second bedroom via a wall conduit, though it remains under 15 meters. It was set up by my ISP and uses Cat 5e, making that distance manageable. I believe the cable isn’t a concern since it functions properly when connected directly to my PC from the modem rather than through the router. The new Asus AC68U router I purchased is a premium model, offering more features than basic budget options.

You're asking about replacing your ISP modem or troubleshooting connectivity. Did the replacement help? If not, consider connecting a short cable between the switch and the router to see if that resolves the problem.
