I assembled this machine in August and it functioned perfectly until recently. The main issue now is that core parking operates, but when launching programs like Steam, Overwatch, Battle.net, or performing alt-tab navigation, the PC freezes and stutters, often pausing briefly during gameplay. In games, freezing events randomly last about five seconds. Operating system: Windows 11 Home 24H2 Specifications: Ryzen 9 7900X3D Trident Neo 2x16 (32GB), 6400MHz clock, 6200MHz running. Asus Strix x670e - A Evga RTX 3080, Evga Supernova 1600W, Platinum. All OS and drivers are current as of 10/17/2024. I've tried the JaysTwoCents core parking video and fully reset Windows, but nothing resolved the problem except clearing several unstable window errors in the Event Viewer. The most frequent error I've noticed is a DistributedCom error 10016, though I'm unsure if it's connected. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated since upgrading isn't feasible due to budget constraints and the CPU performed well for both editing and gaming. I'm also willing to share any useful files or details that could help resolve this.

I've also included the event viewer file log and reliability report logs. There appear to be several processes that error during startup, which might indicate an issue with one of them. relability.XML Event files.evtx

I noticed this pattern occur (with various CPUs) following an automatic update from Windows or the graphics drivers. Troubleshooting it is difficult, and unless you remove the newest update, you have limited options besides reporting the issue and trusting a fix in a future patch. You might try booting from a Linux USB drive. If the issue persists, it points to a hardware fault. If it disappears, it suggests a software-related problem. Hope this assists.

It looks like you were wondering about a Windows connection but ended up trying a fresh USB install. I noticed the issue might be related to BIOS settings, especially since these CPUs struggle with clock speeds above 6,000MHz.

I planned to share my solution here. A new Windows install from a USB stick replaced the auto driver with CPPC in BIOS, which is the only issue I face. The main delay happens when switching from 3D cores to standard ones. It looks like a software glitch causes the system to pause all cores before they sync up properly.
