I’ve just received all the new components for my PC and have been facing some issues with the motherboard (STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI). I’m encountering Error Code 55 when dual-channel RAM is used and Error Code 12 when only one stick is installed or placed in a row. Feel free to let me know more about the PC, and I’ll do my best to assist.

55 indicates no memory detected, suggesting a serious issue with memory training. 12 appears as one of the codes during training, but it doesn't seem to improve memory retention. The first step should be replacing the CPU, checking for bent pins or debris in the socket. If that fails, testing other hardware components might help, though unless you have access to a compatible system, you may need to replace the board. It's likely the hardware is faulty, but the exact cause remains unclear.

I just tested it, the pins look okay but the number 12 keeps showing.

Consider updating the BIOS via USB BIOS Flashback. This model uses a Z690 motherboard, which might not support the i5-13600K. Check the latest version (2204) on ASUS's site. Ensure the USB flash drive is formatted as FAT32 and contains only the renamed BIOS file without any compression.
