Hello! It seems the network adapter isn't appearing in Windows at all. It doesn’t show up as a hidden device in Device Manager. This issue occurred on Fedora and Alma Linux, but not on your Windows Server 2025 VM. Since you need good performance for hosting a game server, you're trying to run Windows directly. You mentioned it's an Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V, and you've tried various drivers from Intel and Gigabyte, but they either install without changes or report no Intel Pro device found. You also attempted BIOS instead of UEFI and enabled CSM, yet nothing worked. Have you updated the BIOS/UEFI to the latest version? Any other tips?

Windows 11 functioned perfectly from the start. It seems Windows Server lacks compatible drivers, preventing standard installations.

Typically, the I219 is delivered through the chipset rather than as an independent component... it's possible the chipset drivers should be added.

That's a good idea. If I decide to test the server version again, I'll give it a try!

It seems you encountered a problem with some recent SuperMicro boards. The recommended fix is to install the newest Intel Chipset drivers from the provided link. Additionally, use the full Intel Ethernet Driver Pack utility, which includes setup.exe for comprehensive network driver installation without needing individual fixes. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, verify the BIOS firmware version and update it using a DOS tool as described in the driver pack documentation.
