I recently switched from an older i5 setup to a new Ryzen system. The details are: Ryzen 5 3600, Gigabyte B450M S2H, 8GB of GSKILL Aegis 3000MHZ CL16 DDR4 RAM (one stick, plan to add another soon), and a 1060 3G. The GPU is quite outdated. Initially, I noticed slow loading times, which seemed unusual. After trying various games, performance was outstanding—everything met expectations. However, when opening Google Chrome (or any browser like Mozilla, Edge, or Chrome) the sites load extremely slowly, sometimes taking minutes. Even basic HTML pages take a long time, and YouTube only plays 1080p60 for about 30 seconds before buffering. My first assumption was unstable internet, but since then the connection has stayed steady at around 250kbps down/25kbps up. Discord calls work fine, and online games are smooth. The issue seems to be with websites in browsers rather than the network itself. I’ve reinstalled Chrome, cleared cookies and cache, and even tried a fresh Mozilla install—still nothing works. It still takes minutes for pages to load, and YouTube isn’t functioning properly. Do you know anyone who has faced similar problems?

What storage device are you using? Have you checked for issues there? Is your PC displaying a hard drive indicator? Execute pingplotter and check for any lost packets.

I own two 2TB Toshiba hard drives and one 1TB SSD. The SSD has Chrome installed, while the other drives still used HDDs. The games from those HDDs ran smoothly.

It was set by default; I attempted it multiple times, switched it off, and tried again. Still no changes. It’s now back to the on position.

Yes, the other parts of Britain are also struggling.

All of them behaved almost the same as the Chrome case. Loading a basic 1080p60 video requires similar time.

Check what’s happening on your Windows 10 system. Clear the DNS cache with a simple command in Command Prompt, then try restarting your server for better performance.

I’ve already tried all the steps on that site before sharing this update. I just flushed the DNS and still saw no improvement.

No, pingplotter did not display any packet loss.
