many people are uncertain about how the game behaves across different systems with comparable specs. A recent thread addresses NVIDIA setup and FPS problems, and some claim it was resolved. I’ll share the link later when I locate it on the forums.

I'm noticing some issues with third-party software that's widely used. People using similar specs and settings are seeing big differences in FPS and overall performance. My system has an i5 4690K OC with 4.7 to 5.5 GHz (varies by game) and a GTX650. I'm running 1920x1080 at normal settings, but it's stable at 60 FPS sometimes dropping to around 50 or less for a few seconds.

there might be a chance for fps drops when large textures are being loaded. distance calculations can put extra strain on the GPU, and if your CPU is handling another program at the same time, it could slow things down further. try turning off all background processes and see if performance improves.

This brings up some concerns for the upcoming GTX 970 purchase :0 I’m hoping the problems are just related to the driver and will be resolved soon!

Draw distance refers to CPU performance, not GPU. Below are screenshots showing CPU and GPU usage for different settings—Advanced Distance Scaling at 0% versus 100% in Advanced Graphics. Top left displays the 100% view.
