I’m trying to set up Windows 8.1 on my Asus ROG G750JM. The installer keeps asking for drivers without telling me what ones are needed, so I downloaded the latest versions from the official AsusTek site and placed them on a USB drive. Windows sees the drive but doesn’t recognize any of the files. I have all the .zip files saved, but I’m confused about which driver Asus actually requires. It’s frustrating—I’ve been struggling with this installation for two days and it’s getting really annoying. Should I put the drivers on the same USB as the Windows media?
You require a SATA controller driver for installation. This is the sole driver needed during Windows setup; additional ones can be added afterward. Also, extract the driver file.
