your dlink x1560 router is experiencing some unusual problems. it doesn't connect to the 5GHz band on your Sony TV, internet fails even when connected, and custom ROMs run at low speeds. recently, the router lost power during setup, possibly due to a hardware issue while saving wifi settings. you've tried flashing multiple firmware versions without success. additionally, your brother's TP Link Archer T2U Wi-Fi adapter isn't working properly with your 65-inch 4K Bravia TV (2022 model). the 2.4GHz indicator light has also stopped functioning. it seems there might be a hardware fault affecting the router.

Have you attempted to factory reset the router and reinstall it?

ooof, that is rough. If you were setting it up a few months ago, you should still be in warranty. I'd contact customer service

They're over two years old, so no warranty applies, but they provide paid repairs for items outside the warranty.

He’d likely attempt to restore it to its original settings and check for available updates. Updating the firmware could resolve issues, or if that fails, replacing the router might be necessary.
