I recently traded in my Radeon HD 6670 for a GTX780. I used to manage to play at medium settings with frame rates around 50-60. After upgrading, I expected better performance, as suggested by GeForce Experience. Now my frames are very low—maxes near 50, minima around 10, and averages in the 20s. In games, I’m getting about 25 fps. A screenshot is available here: http://s45.photobucket.com/user/pasandha...a.jpg.html. Even when I lowered all settings, the numbers stayed the same. I’m puzzled—my card seems to be running at low temps and usage, yet these results are still bad. Sometimes changing the settings causes a drop in FPS during gameplay, especially when audio changes. Can someone help me understand what’s going on?

Extreme AA in sleeping dogs equals SSAA, which is excessive 4K performance. Keep the volume low. Even with maximum settings, your frames per second should roughly double.

Could be the very strong anti-aliasing effect?

I realized the issue isn't related to the game; it's about Afterburner's OSD. I tested without turning it on, matching SeanBond's observation that FPS appeared higher than the screenshot suggested. Initially, I thought Steam was offline, but it's definitely Afterburner. It's concerning since I monitor my temperatures while gaming. The GPU usage and temperatures remain low, which is confusing. Any advice or solutions would be appreciated.
