Issues with setting up the Wi-Fi USB adapter on Kubuntu using Realtek RTL88xBU
I saved the drivers on my Windows PC and transferred them to a USB stick. Placed it on the desktop in Kubuntu (latest) and attempted installation. After making it executable with chmod +x install.sh, the auto-install script for Realtek started unexpectedly. The process showed an error in the script. I copied the instructions to a USB drive to share later. dan@dan-Macmini:~/Desktop/fenvi/LINUX/RTL8812BUú¿RTL8822BU_WiFi_linux_v5.2.4.4_25643.20171212_COEX20171012-504 4/RTL88x2BU_WiFi_linux_v5.2.4.4_25643.20171212_COEX20171012-5044$ sudo chmod +x install.sh [sudo] password for dan: * dan@dan-Macmini:~/Desktop/fenvi/LINUX/RTL8812BUú¿RTL8822BU_WiFi_linux_v5.2.4.4_25643.20171212_COEX20171012-504 4/RTL88x2BU_WiFi_linux_v5.2.4.4_25643.20171212_COEX20171012-5044$ ./install.sh ************ ################################################## Realtek Wi-Fi driver Auto installation script Novembor, 21 2011 v1.1.0 ################################################## Unpacked the driver source tarball: Old option 'f' needs an argument.
