Issues with receiving a signal when installing a new GPU?
NEW GPU, NO MONITOR SIGNAL
Everything was working well before, but after installing a PNY GTX 1660 Super into my PC, the monitor stopped showing any signal. I'm trying different solutions!
Specs: Ryzen 3 3200G, PNY GTX 1660 SUPER OC, 16 GB RAM, ASUS PRIME A320M-K, Thermaltake Smart 500W
I've removed the GPU and still can't access the monitor or BIOS, so no signal appears. The GPU has an 8-pin PCIe connector, but my PSU only has a 6+2 pin type—maybe that's the problem. Any idea what to do?
Thermaltake Smart 500W might be outdated. Consider using a more reliable PSU. You could borrow or purchase another unit from a friend or neighbor with at least 450W capacity for your whole system. This might provide better results.
It has been running for about three years without any issues, even after adding the GPU. Should this still matter? I plan to try it again soon, thank you for the advice.
