Using Steam with a refurbished Dell G7 running Red Dead 2 showed minimum hardware incompatibility. I was asked to update my Intel graphics drivers to the latest version. I did that, but the game didn’t recognize it. I also set everything in Nvidia Control pane to use discrete GPU by default, yet Red Dead 2 still relied on the Intel GPU help.
Refurbished info here, Dell G7 model. I’m not sure how to verify the specs. You’ve got an Nvidia RTX 2060 mobile, Intel UHD 630, i7 8750H, Hynix 128GB SSD, Seagate 1TB HDD, 8GB RAM, plus 8GB crucial RAM (added). The motherboard is 2166Hz, but I don’t know if it matters. Over the past year it’s been having a lot of BSODs and hardware checks came back clean with no issues found. Thanks for any assistance!
