Hello friends I set up a Plex server on a Windows 11 machine and everything works fine locally. The problem starts when trying to connect from another device. It gets stuck in the relay and can’t see the direct link to the server. I’ve tried all sorts of fixes—router settings, port forwarding, UPNP, NAT-T, disabling firewalls briefly—but nothing helps. Plex can’t detect it remotely. My ISP said it’s probably due to the IP they provide, which blocks access. They gave me a new IP, but I haven’t received it yet. My WAN IP on the router differs from my public IP. I’m really frustrated because I can stream locally without issues, but not remotely through the relay.
You mean connecting to the PC where the Plex Server is installed? Understand that I’m not using another machine—I just access it from my phone.
They're using the app or browser like Plex.tv to reach it from afar, while for me it's running locally. For them, it's set up as a remote with a relay.
