You’ve upgraded to the am5 M.2+CPU and it’s working, but TPM flagged a hardware change. Now you’re told your pin isn’t available because security settings shifted. When you try to set it up, you’re prompted to sign in online, but your phone is in airplane mode. You’re okay with a factory reset, but unsure about the steps if signing in isn’t possible. In BIOS you see “ASUS Secure Erase,” though their site is offline for maintenance, making it hard to verify compatibility for your Samsung 970 EVO 500GB SSD. Need guidance or fixes?

Ethernet remains functional even when airplane mode is active. Your phone can also be connected through a USB cable, allowing internet access—this feature works specifically on Android devices. It’s advisable to perform a fresh installation once you’re back in place to set up a bootable USB drive.

I have a powerline that performed well before the upgrade. It was decently fast—around 5mb/s—but it was stable and lag-free. I’m not sure what changed, but it doesn’t seem to detect it anymore. I’m planning to test the phone option next.

The phone tethering function is active, but some apps report errors like "remote procedure call failed." You might try troubleshooting the apps or factory resetting if the issue persists.
