Issues with new GPU
Issues with new GPU
Two weeks prior, I purchased my initial GPU – the XFX RX 6750XT Core Gaming. As someone accustomed to playing on laptops, I hadn’t previously tackled AAA titles (except Witcher 3 at low settings 😅). I assembled a desktop system to support ultra settings, yet I’m uncertain about the GPU’s performance (though I suspect overanalysis). This setup was constructed six months ago, with the GPU recently added. I’ve faced some odd issues in Cyberpunk and Space Marine 2.
Texture edges reflecting light seem distorted in both games (FSR doesn’t resolve it). In Cyberpunk, distant textures vanish or appear blurry. There’s also a lighting anomaly that only occurs between 7:00–8:00 in-game. In Space Marine 2, I once experienced a texture disappearance and flickering glitch, though it happened just once during co-op. I believe fixing Steam files might have resolved it – the game reported no corrupted files, yet the bug persists.
I consistently play all games at high/ultra settings. The cause remains unclear. Could it stem from low resolution? I’m using 1080p. PC scores are solid in benchmarks: 93 FPS average in Cyberpunk (Ultra, FSR OFF, medium crowd density), and 12,705–12,720 in 3DMark Time Spy (though texture edges remain jagged).
My GPU exhibits noticeable coil whine, sometimes audible even when idle (usually after gaming) and intensifying during mouse scroll. It doesn’t bothers me, but I’m unsure if it’s normal. Additionally, I’ve observed odd clicking sounds while playing MP4 clips (recorded with the fan off). After rebooting, the sound disappeared.
According to benchmarks and logs, everything appears functional, though I’m not certain. Witcher 3 runs smoothly at Ultra+ with FSR Quality (appearing poor without AA, which seems typical), and League of Legends works well. A 30-minute benchmark artifact test found no issues. It might be driver-related – sometimes AMD Adrenalin takes over 30 seconds to launch, though I don’t want to order a replacement unless absolutely necessary. Two weeks have passed since the purchase.

What BIOS version is your motherboard running?
RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 32GB 6000MHz (actually running at 5600, since my PC doesn’t boot at 6000)
This could be affecting performance, as Ryzen’s optimal speed is around DDR5-6000MHz with minimal delays. Do you have a link to the RAM kit you’re using? Are the slots A2 and B2 being filled?
Did you install the operating system in offline mode, or did Windows automatically download and install all drivers it found via the update?
I set up the OS using the standard method from USB with the Windows installer. These issues seem to be hardware-related? The RAM is installed properly, but they don’t function at 6000 MHz. BIOS version is 3.16.
I’m mainly worried about shimmering. Reflective textures appear terrible when I move the camera.
EDIT: I turned off all AA drivers except MLAA and switched to TAA in the game, which seems a bit better, though I’m still unsure if this is normal ;/
FSR Native, MLAA and adaptive anti-aliasing in drivers:
TAA Native, MLAA only in drivers:
EDIT: The missing textures bug in the cooperative version is back ;-;
