I added another RAM stick to my computer, but the monitor still won’t power on. I checked that I placed it in the correct slot and followed all the installation steps properly, yet the issue persists. I’m unsure what to do next.

Have you considered deleting the RAM and reverting to the original setup to test its effect? Please share your system specifications.

Reset CMOS and update BIOS using USB flash drive. (If your motherboard supports it) Test with a single stick of RAM or connect it to another PC. Use the original RAM if possible.

i got my system built with a nvidia geforce gtx 1060 and an fx-8350 cpu. the ram is a gigabyte technology g3 970a ddr3, with 8gb total. i installed three sticks of ram, but the monitor won’t turn on unless i use the original 8gb stick. i’m trying to figure out how to get everything working properly, especially since i’m new to this setup.
