Hello everyone, I'm facing a problem with voice chat in both Valorant and Rainbow Six Siege. My audio is completely blocked and the mic is muted. I've checked that my microphone is set to the default sound settings and that the loopback test works in-game. I've tried several troubleshooting steps: 1. Ensuring all apps needing microphone access are allowed through Windows Firewall, 2. Reinstalling the applications, and 3. Connecting to different regional servers in the game. I'm really stuck and need some guidance. Thanks! Smile

Welcome to the forums! A possible solution is to turn off all recording/input options in your sound settings, excluding your main microphone. Sometimes games automatically pick another device even if you set a different one as default. By disabling all other devices and restarting the computer, the games should only work with that single device.

It seems all other input devices are turned off and the loopback voice test functioned properly in the game. That makes it unclear what further steps are needed. Appreciate the help!

Is PTT “push to talk” activated? It should be set up in your game configuration. Disabling it would leave your microphone constantly active.

Someone assisted me, we disabled the firewall and applied a March Windows update. One of those changes worked. Restored the firewall, and the microphone functioned properly. Likely the update affected my gaming experience. Thanks for your help!
