I've got an ASUS TUF Gaming X570-plus motherboard. After updating the BIOS to version 5013, I experienced several memory issues with error messages appearing. I performed memory tests for a few hours and everything checked out. It turns out the problem is in slot A1 of the DIMM slot on the board. Removing the DIMM resolved the crashes. The slot looks undamaged, but I'm concerned since this is my first time having memory issues and the board is only four years old. I'm puzzled about what might be causing this.
Have you revisited the earlier BIOS version you were using? A newer release doesn’t always improve performance, particularly regarding memory support. On AMD systems, AGESA updates can sometimes cause memory overclocking issues. It’s probable this BIOS version is faulty, and using it isn’t advisable. What prompted the update? Unless there’s a clear need, sticking with a compatible BIOS is usually safer.
The Mobo was originally three versions ahead, so I made an update to stay current. I plan to go back to the earlier version and it should assist.
It looks like my appearance is turning red... That's good. The RAM is functioning properly and there are no problems occurring.
