Adding dual 3000 MHz RAM and using XMP actually reduces the speed, which is unusual. It might be related to compatibility issues or a faulty RAM module. You probably need to increase the SOC voltage. In early models and some later ones, the voltage is too low leading to issues. It's safe to raise it to 1.2V, starting at 1.1V and adjusting from there.

Slightly like the third generation typically performs better in its IMC, though it's still worth a shot to check.

That's the DRAM voltage, not the SOC.
