Issues with low frame rates on GTX 1070 in Battlefield 1
Hi, welcome! I recently upgraded my setup with a new graphics card (1070, Asus DUAL NON-OC), a 620W power supply from Seasonic, and a 1080p monitor. So far, I've been playing Overwatch and Battlefield 1. My experience with Overwatch is smooth, averaging around 150 FPS, while Battlefield 1 feels quite unstable—often dropping to around 60 FPS or lower when I change my view. I'm running Windows 10, and I'm looking for any advice or fixes to improve performance. My components include an I7-4790 CPU, GTX 1070 with 8GB VRAM, 8GB RAM, a motherboard ASUS H81M-K, and I haven't done any overclocking. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Suggested configuration: Operating system should be 64-bit Windows 10 or newer. Recommended CPU is AMD FX 8350 Wraith or Intel Core i7 4790 or better. Memory should be at least 16GB RAM. Graphics option is AMD Radeon RX 480 with 4GB or a compatible card. Required video card must support DirectX 11.1. Internet connection needs to be 512 KBPS or higher. Available storage must be 50GB or more.
I’d really like it, but I can’t afford it right now. Is that the main problem? The game needs more than 8GB of RAM, doesn’t it?
Well mine doesn't reach 8 gigs max, usually it's 6-7 gigs depending on your setup. Try using monitoring tools like RTSS with MSI afterburners to keep an eye on RAM usage. Alternatively, you can launch the game in borderless mode and then open Task Manager via Alt+Tab to check if memory runs low.
Uses it for [specific purpose] and operates within temperature ranges of [minimum] to [maximum].
