So the primary game I play is Fortnite. Generally, my FPS remains stable while playing, but I've noticed that whenever I install a game with a large storage requirement, my performance drops and it stutters significantly. I downloaded GTA 5 on my PC and after installing it, my FPS stuttered, so I removed it to fix the issue.

I have 1 terabyte of storage, and even after installing GTA 5, there was still over 500 gigabytes remaining. I made sure no background applications from GTA 5 were running when I closed it. I also observed this problem with Rainbow Six Siege, where my FPS would stutter due to downloading different games.

Wait one day after installing a new game, restart the system, and then attempt to play. Disk space won't affect games unless your drive is completely full.
