Issues with Intel WiDi support on displays.
I recently acquired a high-quality LG Smart TV running WebOS. It operates smoothly, allowing me to stream content from my PC using Windows Media Sharing on Windows 7. However, I encountered an issue. The .mkv file format isn’t DLNA certified, which prevents it from being shared via Windows Media Sharing. After extensive searching, I discovered the built-in "Screen Sharing" application. This tool uses WiDi technology and requires an Intel processor. Fortunately, my system runs an i7 4770K, which should meet the requirements. The error message I received is: https://communities.intel.com/servlet/Ji...+error.JPG. I verified all necessary components—Intel Processor, Graphics Card, and Wireless settings—but still face challenges. Specifically, I’m using a Gigabit LAN instead of Wi-Fi, which might be the issue. My LAN port is a Killer Ethernet Port, and I haven’t enabled the GPU from my 4770K. If needed, I’d appreciate guidance on activating it. Thanks in advance. -Zonus
I believe you might need an Intel network card for it to function, though I'm not entirely confident.
