I've been using the Ryzen 2600 since July and I'm quite happy with it. But I've been sticking to the stock cooler because I plan to upgrade to an AIO cooler like Corsair i115 Platinum. Yesterday I swapped out my case and adjusted the CPU cooler's fan curve—it was too loud. I settled on a quieter setting and then opened Ryzen Master to check the temps. Remember, I replaced the thermal paste from the stock AMD version to Arctic MX-4 since I had it and thought it would help. Now I'm playing, and the fan is really noisy. The curve reset happened, but when I changed it again, the CPU was running hot—80°C during gameplay and 60°C at idle. My power supply also makes a loud noise, and in Ryzen Master, the CPU stays at around 86% utilization on the EDC section, which is way above the 90A limit for the 90A model. Plus, the CPU keeps turboing. Is something wrong? P.S. I changed the CPU fan curve from APP Center, a Gigabyte program, and the BIOS on my Gigabyte B450m Pro Wi-Fi is running a BIOS version from 25/1/2019.

After removing the cooler, were you certain to secure it again using adequate retention force?

Yep I can't turn any of the screws more and I tried to see if the cooler got loose on a side or something and its all good I dont know why the EDC is so high tho

Have you considered another option? Your power mode is set to balanced, with the processor at 5% of its maximum. Switching to Power Saver restores normal performance, though speed may decrease slightly.
