Issues with GTA V performance when it shouldn't occur.
I’m experiencing slow performance and stuttering when trying to play at high settings. It seems a specific configuration or combination might be causing issues. I’ve been using 1896 VRAM as per the menu, but I’ll aim for the ideal settings this weekend. The need to restart the game whenever I tweak graphics-related VRAM settings is really frustrating.
Start by disabling VSYNC. Next, turn off FXAA. Adjust the draw distance slider to 75%. If you still don’t see vsync or there’s a driver problem, it might be a CPU limitation. Update the driver since NVIDIA just released one for GTA V. It doesn’t appear to be a CPU bottleneck at all—your CPU is strong and shouldn’t drop to 30fps in GTA V.
Attempt that method. If the FPS jumps to 30 and remains steady, adjust the settings—disable v-sync and re-enable it. It seems to resolve the issue for you!
