I purchased and installed GTA V. Enjoyed playing it initially at 60 frames per second with low settings, though I observed the frame rate dropping more often until it became inconsistent. On YouTube, some streams ran smoothly on 4 GB RAM, while others with 8 GB RAM performed without issues. Any solutions or fixes? P.S. I'm using a Mac with Bootcamp—no need for "get a PC" suggestions.

I believe the issue stems from your VRAM, as GTA V runs smoothly on low-end cards such as 750Ti and 1030.

Confirmed. The 512MB falls short of the necessary specs. A 660M should realistically offer 1-2GB. With only 512MB available, it likely indicates a VRAM issue or a card that’s no longer functional for games post-2012.

Other people mentioned the VRAM power of the graphics cards, so based on your needs I’ll suggest this alternative. Opt for a more recent Mac.

Your GPU seems to be the problem. If you're using an HDD, you might experience lag while loading textures or assets because it can't keep up.

I understand, I can handle AAA titles like The Witcher 3 and TEKKEN 7 with smooth performance. In Task Manager, GTA V uses a significant portion of RAM—over 95%. Is this an issue?

I can play AAA titles smoothly at 60 frames per second or higher, even on the same hardware.

I don't doubt your point, but those specifications don't match what you're using. With a GTX 660M at 512 Mb, you're nowhere near 1080p 60Hz.

In addition to what was mentioned, I've noticed videos of individuals running GTA V with 512 MB VRAM and 8 GB RAM, which matches my configuration.

It's true, I'm running GTA V at 1080p with 60hz, but the stuttering made me switch to a lower resolution. Eventually, I had to accept a 4:3 display to maintain smooth playback.
