Issues with GPU performance while playing games.
In short, when I attempt to run games, the GPU often fails and the system reports issues like unplugged GPU or driver problems. At 60Hz the performance is smooth, but anything above that causes crashes. My monitor supports up to 165Hz, and it runs fine at that speed. The problem starts above 60Hz. I haven’t overclocked the card, and temperatures are normal. The specs include a Corsair Vengance LPX with various components, and I’ve tried fixing things by uninstalling drivers, changing settings, updating BIOS, and even swapping out the power supply. Despite these efforts, some games still don’t work. A friend with similar cards works without issues. If it’s the power supply, I might need a replacement, but if it’s the graphics card, I’ll stick to 60Hz or lower.
Execute GPU Z and turn on logging. Begin a game at 60Hz for a baseline measurement. Increase the frame rate to 165Hz and restart the game. Expect a crash, but capture the GPU log during the process. Share the log with me.
