Issues with games, mainly on DX12 platform.
Hello, good day. I'm looking for help with my PC. I've experienced frequent crashes over the past six months, accompanied by the error code -Device\Video3 Error occurred on GPUID: 900. My system specs are a ROG STRIX X470 F Gaming, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB Cl18 and an A RTX 3060 Strix V2. I previously used Trident Z 16GB CL16 RAM, which functioned well for about four months before the issues began. After three months of crashes, I disabled XMP settings to reset the RAM timings, but that resolved the problem temporarily. Once I re-enabled XMP with the correct timings, my DX12 problems stopped for a couple of days. Then I restored XMP in the BIOS, but it failed again. I've tried upgrading to a different Corsair 32GB kit, but nothing has worked. Additionally, Fortnite is now crashing in DX11, whereas it only crashed in DX12 before. Overwatch 2 and Destiny 2 are stable. My RAM was at 2400MHz with CL17 speed, and I've never had issues with DX12.
Begin by removing Asus Armoury Crate using the official uninstaller at the provided link. Once done, power off the PC and PSU, either unplugging the PSU or disconnecting the power cable. Take out the CMOS battery for five minutes. After that, verify if RAM is installed in slots A2 and B2 on the motherboard. You likely received a kit with two sticks. On first boot, access BIOS and disable Armoury Crate. Save your changes and exit using F10. Maintain all settings enabled to test stability.
