Hey there, long time viewer, new to the chat but I’m really frustrated with this problem. I just moved from a 1660 super to an RTX 3060, which is a good upgrade. Frames are up, but honestly it’s not much. I’ve switched back to Fortnite with zero build and some skins from Star Wars and Naruto. The issue is that on medium settings I’m stuck at around 138 FPS with stutters and drops as low as 70. My monitor is 3600x and it rarely runs above 50% for games. I’ve updated drivers, enabled the default profile on Ryzen Master, checked GPU and Windows updates, and even reinstalled Fortnite. It’s just weird how a game that used to run smoothly on an i3 RDNA Gen 4 now is struggling. Any advice or tips would be super helpful. Thanks, tech friends!

I've encountered a comparable problem with a fresh installation, but I couldn't locate any information on Google.

If it's at 50% there's a high chance a couple of your threads are hitting 100% usage in your games. If this happens you'll encounter stuttering. you need to see each individual thread in afterburner either in the OSD provided by RTSS or in the graphs after you quit out the game. If some threads are peaking at 100% then the issue is with your CPU

Thanks for the assistance. I examined the cores during gameplay and they all appear to be functioning well. I ran a CPUID stress test and achieved 100% performance. The Geekbench scores were above average. I’m not sure why Fortnite sometimes drops to 144hz after the first minute, though I usually get stable at that frame. I might upgrade to Zen 5 when it’s released and consider returning the 3600x if needed, or I’ll accept it as fine.
