I recently assembled a PC with these specifications;
TUF GAMING GTX 1660 TI 6gb
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x
Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC rev 1.3
32 gb DDR4 RAM
1tb timetec SSD
ESGAMING 750w PSU (I might have had a better option, but I wasn’t sure then)

The issue is that after launching a game, I experience immediate crashes. I review crash dumps and see an error message indicating a memory reference failure. I’ve attempted various fixes: reinstalling drivers, factory reset, switching operating systems (from Windows 10 to Windows 11), updating BIOS, but nothing resolved the problem. When it crashes, I observe random colored squares appearing on the screen, followed by a brief blackout. After restarting, all my applications appear empty, though some, like Discord, simply close without any warning.

This problem has remained consistent since the PC was powered on for the first time. I should mention that I’m using an older SSD, but I performed a factory reset, making it hard to rule out driver issues.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
ESGAMING 750w PSU (I might have had a better option, but I wasn’t sure what was best then)
Consider swapping it for a more reliable model and check if the problem continues.
Different operating systems (Windows 10 → Windows 11)
Where did you obtain the installers for your operating systems?
BIOS update
Could you tell me the BIOS version you’re currently using and whether you cleared the CMOS after confirming the BIOS was successfully updated to the latest version?
I should mention I’m using an older SSD, but I performed a factory reset, so it’s hard to say if drivers might be the cause.
If needed, reinstall your OS from scratch, rebuild your bootable USB installer for the OS, use offline mode, and then manually install all the latest drivers before connecting to the internet to update the system.

The backup came from a cloud reinstall. My BIOS version is F17. At the moment, I’m unable to replace the PSU or reinstall the OS using a boot drive.
My GPU usage displays a sequence of numbers 4294967295 after one of these incidents

I’m experiencing the following issues in the event viewer:
1. The details for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm are missing. Either the part causing this event isn’t installed on your machine or the setup is damaged. You can install or fix that component locally.
If the event happened on a different device, the data must have been saved with it.
The attached info included with the event:
\Device\Video3
000020c2 00001924 00000cee 00000d0c 00001f63 000222d0 010222d0 00000004
The message resource exists but isn’t listed in the table.
2. The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm is absent. Same as above—check installation or repair.
If it came from another machine, the details need to be saved with the event.
Info attached:
\Device\Video3
UCodeReset TDR happened on GPUID:600
The message resource is there but not found in the table.
3. Event ID 0 description missing again. Install or repair the component if it’s from another system.
Details saved with the event:
\Device\Video3
TDR reset occurred on GPUID:600
Message resource present but not listed.
4. Event ID 0 description unavailable. Verify installation or fix the component locally.
If it originated elsewhere, ensure the display data was captured.
Info attached:
\Device\Video3
TDR reset on GPUID:600
Message resource available but missing from table.
5. Event ID 0 description not found. You can reinstall or repair the component.
Check if the event came from another machine and save its info.
Details included:
\Device\Video3
Restarting TDR happened on GPUID:600
Message resource present but absent in table.
6. (warning) The display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding but has been restored.

I performed another factory reset and switched to Windows 10, but some applications still fail to open. The problem seems to have worsened, with the GPU resetting repeatedly and a noise indicating a disconnection and reconnection of components.

Attempted to run a Furmark GPU stress test and it stopped working right away.

New error reported: Unable to recover from a kernel exception. The application must close. Error code: 3 (subcode 2). This occurs when I crash, and it seems to be resolved by moving my GPU to a different PCIe slot. The issue appears only under specific conditions, such as during furmark.

I fixed it by using a box to support the weight of my GPU.

It's probably time to consider swapping out the GPU as the next component to replace.
