I recently chose to upgrade my Acer PC by placing the CPU, RAM, and a new power supply inside a fresh case. I also added an RTX 3050, but the system freezes at the Acer logo when it starts. Without the RTX 3050, everything runs smoothly using Intel Graphics HD 3500. Please assist in finding a solution that lets them work together. It’s been a full day of attempts without success. Specs: CPU i5 3450, Motherboard B75H2-AD, RAM 4x4GB DDR3 (PC3-12800U), A1, GPU RTX 3050, PSU Corsair RM850e, case Corsair 4000D Airflow. Monitor connection is DisplayPort or HDMI.

The issue might stem from the absence of a legacy ROM for that graphics card. The UEFI boot on the motherboard seems functional. Regarding your concerns, I wonder why you thought it was worth spending so much on an outdated prebuilt system.

Thanks for the guidance! Your motherboard is compatible with UEFI booting. I bought an RTX 3050 for the same budget and found a Corsair case with a better PSU to pair them together. Looking ahead, I’m gradually purchasing components as I upgrade to a Ryzen 7 7700X.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've already tried that before and it didn't help. Clearing the hard drive completely didn't resolve the problem either. It seems the issue might be related to my motherboard support, so I'll follow the advice from other users on the Acer forum. I'll keep you updated if I get any updates. Thanks!

I found the fix for those problems I faced: first, clean the disk and do a UEFI Windows setup. Next, adjust the BIOS to turn off silent boot. Then, install your GPU and wait until the Windows logo appears. At the end, I noted the boot time got longer up to three minutes, and the system would freeze briefly when changing display settings, though I consider it a reasonable trade-off for keeping the existing hardware. Thanks to everyone for their help.
