My PC frequently crashes under heavy use, such as when running After Effects or playing games. It freezes or stops abruptly, though audio plays briefly and sometimes repeats for a couple of seconds. Even when watching videos on a second screen, playback continues for some time. Each incident forces a restart. Recently, after disabling XMP and reverting to an older BIOS version, I was able to play a game, but it crashed again after about five minutes. Now, even without XMP enabled, the crashes persist, leading me to think the problem might lie with the RAM, though I’m still unsure.

Brand and model of the PSU?
Attempt to release some room on the SSD?
Check compatibility with a single monitor?

Didn't rgd1101 share their experience, but you should verify the motherboard manual for slot recommendations when using two sticks.
