For the last few days, my FPS in CS:GO has dropped significantly compared to my usual performance. I usually maintain around 300 FPS, but now I’m seeing 70-100, making the game feel extremely unstable and frustrating. It seems to affect only CS:GO, not other games I play. My PC specs are decent, but it hasn’t been consistently top-tier. I’ve tried reinstalling the game twice, checking CPU/memory usage, cleaning dust, using CCleaner multiple times, resetting settings, and even changing FPS configurations, but nothing has resolved the issue. I’m looking for advice or a solution to this problem. Thanks!

Verify your internet connection. It could be a server problem since I frequently experience this in every other match. Usually I get 250-400fps depending on the area, but my average is dropping slowly during gameplay, sometimes to just 70fps. My friend reported only 2fps for a few seconds. These issues seem linked to Valve's servers. Try using affinity in Task Manager and disable hyperthreading (check 0246 or 1357 and uncheck the rest) to see if it improves things.

Server problems can indeed influence FPS, just like ping does. Even with a stable internet connection and no CPU throttling issues, poor servers can still impact performance similarly.

I'm not sure but they look like it. Even the opposing team experienced FPS drops, while my own were clearly due to a server problem. I had them mostly in Inferno. Probably because my teammates stuck with Mirage and Inferno.

I've seen that CS GO can have its FPS limited depending on the connection. Most other games don't do this. I'm not familiar with it since I only came across this information recently.
