I lost my contacts and am attempting to re-import them into Outlook Home and Business 2021 desktop. I encountered several problems. After successfully importing the contacts.csv file, I can view the contacts in the contacts folder. However, nothing appears on the system where it should be. When I type names or emails I usually use, autocomplete works fine. But when I try to type in people I know but haven’t emailed recently, I get no results. If I type a name from my contacts list, it doesn’t show up in the To field of the email. I can import one .csv file without issues, but adding more contacts fails. Outlook blocks me from placing additional files in any folder, and the next button becomes grayed out when trying to access the import location.
The attached images may provide further clarity. The contact folder under "Email Accounts" is labeled "This Computer Only," while the Contacts folders listed under "Contacts" include "Contacts" and "two Contacts (this computer only)." The displayed count of 511 doesn’t match the actual number of recovered emails from an OST file.
I’d like to restore everything and then re-import the contacts files. What suggestions do you have?

Consider reinstalling Outlook 2021 from the beginning if prompted about saving settings. This action will also preserve the folders, ensuring only the necessary ones are saved in their correct locations.
