Hello,
I recently completed a new build at the end of last year using a Sapphire 7900 XTX Nitro+. Initially, I believed it was stable, but after spending longer sessions, I started experiencing consistent driver timeouts after just a couple of hours. These issues didn’t seem related to load, as they occurred even when the game ran smoothly at near full GPU capacity for extended periods. Temperatures remained normal, ranging from the high 60s to low 70s under load, with a hotspot around the mid-80s.

I tried running a stress test in Adrenalin to identify the cause, but it immediately triggered the same error before the test could start.

I’ve tried several fixes:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers (both manually and via DDU)
- Disabling MPO
- Turning off hardware acceleration

Any guidance on diagnosing this would be greatly appreciated. I’m struggling to pinpoint the issue since it consistently appears after a few hours of play.

System details:
CPU: 9800X3D
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D15
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X870-A
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x16 GB 6000Mhz CL30
Storage: WD Black SN850X 2TB
GPU: Saphire 7900XTX Nitro+
PSU: Corsair HX1000i
Chassis: Meshify 2XL
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: LG C4 42" TV (games on this), MSI VG27AG (second screen)
Bios version: 0227, 23/07/2024

All components except the second monitor were new, purchased between November 24 and now. The monitor is several years old but in good working condition.

I've logged the crash in hwinfo; anyone can interpret it. Row 2561 seems to mark the crash location (or just before).

The ROG Strix X870-A Gaming WiFi delivers powerful 16-stage power, ultra-fast DDR5 slots, and PCIe® 5.0 connectivity. It includes four M.2 SSD slots equipped with heatsinks and supports USB4®.

Updating the bios didn't resolve the problem but I tried a game that kept crashing during long play sessions on my monitor, not the TV, and it worked fine for three hours. It might be related to the HDMI output versus the displayport.
