Last night I tried to boost my RAM speed and noticed smoother performance in Fortnite, but after the overclock I lost around 25 to 40 frames per second. What might be causing this? Before reaching 2133MHz, Fortnite FPS was about 300-330 at 15-15-15-35 with 1.20 volts. After going to 3066MHz, it dropped to roughly 200-225 FPS now. Could the timing settings be the reason? Any advice would be really helpful. After completing the overclock, I stress-tested it at 90% with OCCT for nearly 9 hours straight without any problems.
You aimed to push the system as far as possible, but it hit hardware limits. The old documentation covers everything, so starting from scratch isn’t necessary. Overclocking that much strains the RAM and can cause instability. At 2400 FPS, the performance was decent but not optimal.
