I've experienced consistently high ping and lag over the last three years. After checking with tracert, the route to google.com showed several delays. The connection timed out after multiple attempts. Other entries list various IP addresses and response times, indicating inconsistent performance.

I think this depends on your internet provider, how far you are from the nearest server, your data plan, and the quality of your connection. You might be among those experiencing slower speeds due to these factors. Could you share more details so I can assist better?

I checked my connection using tracert to google.com. The first hop was my router, followed by ISP connections with varying response times. Numbers 4 and 5 timed out, while 6 through 10 showed Google’s servers with latency between 13 ms and 39 ms. I have fiber internet and a 1 gigabit Wi-Fi card running a decent 3x3 router. Could you tell me what type of cable or router you use? Are you connected via Wi-Fi? And what plan are you subscribed to?

My internet is fully connected, and the Ethernet cable is plugged into my PC with a 1 gig plan. Actual speed is around 500 Mbps download and 2.23 Mbps upload.

You pay for a gigabit and receive 500... It’s time to discuss this with your ISP, as they must address the issue since you’re only getting half of what you paid. Request a direct fiber optic connection—it’s superior to coaxial and should resolve the ping issues. If the problem continues afterward, it indicates they misled you and failed to act.

I've also observed that my ping fluctuates a lot—sometimes it spikes significantly and other times it's normal.

The 144 ms and 107 ms are both too high. Please contact your ISP as discussed earlier.
