I'm experiencing occasional crashes when my computer is running demanding tasks. Two main scenarios: 1. Playing Battlefield 5 at ultra settings with DXR Ultra for about an hour and a half, then both monitors stopped while the system remained active. 2. This issue became noticeable during a FAH (Folding@Home) session, similar to the CPU problems seen in Battlefield 5 when a work unit was triggered. Additional details: I attempted to overclock my RAM from 2666MHz to 2888MHz and my CPU from 3.7 to 4. The crashes increased during gaming but stopped afterward when settings returned to normal (2666MHz, 3.7GHz). When the screen goes black, all peripheral lights turn off and the audio changes when headphones are connected or unplugged. My components include a Ryzen 7 2700X processor, an RTX 2080Ti graphics card, a 32GB RAM module at 2666MHz, a TUF x470 Plus motherboard with gaming features, and I’m unsure about the optimal configuration for my setup. Any suggestions on resolving this or improving performance?
I think this setup might be due to VRM overheating, though it leads to shutdowns instead of crashes. Have you looked at the CPU and GPU temps?
